Somehere Privacy Policy
This document matches the privacy policy included inside the Somehere app.
What stays local
Somehere keeps conversation text, chat profiles, memories, and profile images in the app's private storage on your device. They are processed and stored locally. Somehere excludes this private app storage from device backups and does not send conversation content, chat instructions, memories, or profile images to a developer server.
System AI uses Apple's on-device model on supported devices. Apple controls that model's internals, availability, and supported languages; Somehere does not claim control over them. Local AI+ is an optional on-device engine after its model is downloaded.
Network use
Somehere uses network connections for two product functions.
First, the optional Local AI+ model is delivered through Apple-hosted Background Assets. The request identifies the asset pack and does not include conversation content.
Second, StoreKit communicates with the App Store to display the one-time purchase, complete or restore it, and verify entitlement. Somehere does not include conversation content in StoreKit requests.
Standard network information, such as an IP address, may be processed by Apple when these services connect. Somehere does not operate a developer backend for these connections.
Accounts, tracking, and collection
There is no Somehere account, analytics, advertising, developer backend, or cloud sync. Somehere does not track you or sell personal data. The app privacy manifest declares no data collected by Somehere or its included third-party runtime.
Apple may provide operating-system or App Store diagnostics according to Apple's policies and your device settings. Apple controls those diagnostics; they are not collected through a Somehere analytics service.
Your controls and deletion
Settings → Manage Private Data lets you review memories, export conversations, or delete all chats, conversations, messages, memories, profile images, and temporary exports. Model removal is a separate control in Settings → Local AI+. The App Store manages the purchase record.
Deleting Somehere removes its locally stored conversations, chat profiles, memories, profile images, and installed app data from the device. Apple may retain App Store purchase history under Apple's policies, and a model asset managed by the operating system may be subject to system cleanup timing.
